CSI Warehouse Club – San Carlos opens
THE Dagupan-based City Supermarket Inc. soared anew when it opened its CSI Warehouse-Club San Carlos and made its presence felt in the heart of central Pangasinan and the adjoining areas.
As part of a growing chain of malls, warehouse clubs and supermarkets owned by the CSI Group of Companies in Pangasinan and Northern Luzon, the new CSI Warehouse Club-San Carlos opened last July 24, offering as much as 50 per cent discount on items as bonus to shoppers on opening day.
Mayor Julian Resuello and his son, Vice Mayor Julier Resuello did the honors cutting the ceremonial ribbon, along with CSI Group of Companies president Belen Fernandez.
Mayor Julian Resuello calls the edifice a new landmark in San Carlos, complementing the city’s dream to become one of the most modern cities in the Philippines.
Fernandez said her company is elated that CSI was given a chance by Mayor Resuello to come to San Carlos City, as she noted the dramatic progress of the city as evidenced by the presence of many franchise stores and out-of-town investors.
“Pagpasok ng CSI, talagang magkakaroon ng multiplier effect to all, including tricycle and jeepney drivers who will be earning more by shuttling shoppers. All other stores that may need products to sell will come and buy from us at cheaper prices,” she said.
She thanked the people of San Carlos who trooped to CSI as soon as it is opened to avail of the discounted prices of its products for sale and assured the residents that CSI will maintain the low prices of its products to make it affordable to all the people of San Carlos City.
CSI Warehouse Club hosts a department store, appliance and house ware center, grocery, book and office supply store, and all others, including frozen foods, meat and vegetables.
Ms. Fernandez said shoppers from San Carlos City, Basista. Bayambang, Urbiztondo, Mangatarem and Calasiao can avail of prices similar to the prices of goods at CSI City Mall or CSI Market Square in Dagupan City.
Stores that already opened at the CSI Warehouse Club San Carlos are Chowking, Siapno-Tada Optical, St. Joseph’s Drug Store, Wow Cellphones and an internet cafe. Opening in one to two months are MC Donald’s, Goldilocks, Shakey’s and other stores and shops.
To date, CSI Warehouse Club-San Carlos employs 450 workers, majority of them from San Carlos City, excluding employees, like merchandisers and retailers, provided by CSI suppliers.
“As our commitment to Mayor Resuello, majority of our employees are from San Carlos City,” she said.
After the Warehouse Club in San Carlos, CSI is opening another store in Candon, Ilocos Sur in October upon the invitation of Rep. Eric Singson.
The construction of CSI Bayambang is set to start on the last quarter of this year.
