Good governance cited as factor in North Luzon Trade Fair
SOME 63 trade exhibitors participated in the North Luzon Trade Fair organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PCCI) held September 1 to 7 at the CSI Mall Atrium in Dagupan City.
Vicky Gaetos, vice president for North Luzon of the PCCI, said the event attracted investors to north Luzon and helped promote the local business industry in the region.
Dagupan City Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, the event’s guest of honor and speaker, thanked the exhibitors for taking part in the endeavor and for boosting the economy of the regions.
GOOD GOVERNANCE
Fernandez, herself an entrepreneur as the chief executive officer of her family’s CSI Group of Companies, promised to support the business sector by providing and promoting good governance in the area.
“Good governance of officials in a place will definitely attract investors,” Fernandez said.
Participants came from Regions I, II, III and the Cordillera Autonomous Region.
The event, hosted by the Metro-Dagupan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MDCCI) headed by Lelia Sy, was part of the 21st North Luzon Area Business Conference with the theme ‘North Luzon: Investing in Countryside Development.’
