LINGAYEN–Some 200 livestock raisers, inspectors, veterinarians and employees of various local government units learned new trends and technology on livestock production in the provincial government-sponsored seminar held August 30.

Provincial Veterinarian Eric Jose Perez said the areas discussed were feeding and swine nutrition, swine management, and health management of large and small ruminant during the rainy season.

The Office of the Provincial Veterinary Office (OPVET), which organized the event, called on raisers to work towards increasing productivity and maintain the province’s position as the number one producer in the region.

OPVET holds regular information, education and communication campaigns in various barangay and conducts vaccination and de-worming to protect animals from diseases. (PIA-Pangasinan/AMM)
