THE first of a series of voters’ education and information drive will be held in Dagupan on the evening of February 19 at the Dagupan City Plaza.

Pablo de Venecia, chapter president of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP), said the event, which will feature an audiovisual presentation, is open to the public.

The BCBP was tapped by the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), accredited by the Commission on  Elections as its citizens’ arm, to help in the campaign to raise voters’ awareness on their rights and options.

De Venecia, speaking during the KBP Forum on February 4, said part of the information and education drive will be to teach the voters how to use the automated machine.

He also clarified that in this election, he has distanced himself from his relatives running for office to maintain the BCBP’s independence and impartiality.—LM
