DS / BIA outstanding alumni named
The Dominican School/Blessed Imelda’s Academy Alumni Association has named fourteen alumni in nine categories in connection with the celebration of the school’s 75th founding anniversary.
Named outstanding alumni are: (Medicine /Health Care) Dr. John Anthony A. Domantay -Medical Education /Research; Dr. Gemma Jean D. Ferrer–OB Gygenocology; Dr. Adolfo C. Parayno -Transplant Surgery; Dr. Ma. Lilia Posadas Juan -Medical Allied Education – Tertiary Level;
(Media- Broadcast Journalism) Julius Caesar C. Babao; (Education) Edna Torio Gonzales; (Entertainment /Cultural Arts) Joey Benin; (Business Entrepreneurship) Kamela Crisologo Seen;
(Military Service) Capt. Bonifacio Ceferino Sales III; (Religious & Community Service) Joy Novales Rosario and Sr. Susana Predas; (Public Service/Government)
Arnulfo Alipio and Carolyn Dizon Sison; (Professional Service) Engr. Ramoncito D. Revilla.
The Diamond Foundation anniversary has for its theme “Celebrating 75 years in its continuous commitment to give quality education and gospel values of truth, justice and compassion”.
According to Alfredo “Gilbert Cerezo Jr., president of the DS / BIA Alumni Association, the proceeds of the fund-raising event will channeled to the construction of a bigger school canteen for the convenience of students.
Meanwhile, four special awards will be presented on January 29.
The alumni will also present certificates of recognition to all the school’s principals from 1953 to 2010.
