Capitol gets mobile water treatment plant
LINGAYEN–The provincial government received one unit of mobile trailer with mounted water treatment plant from the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) last December 17.
Governor Amado Espino Jr., who requested for the equipment earlier this year through then Public Works and Highways Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., said the newly acquired trailer will be used to sustain the supply of potable water in the province, particularly during the calamities.
Provincial Administrator Rafael Baraan, who represented the governor during the turn-over rites at the La Mesa Dam Guesthouse in Quezon City, said the equipment is a big boon to secure the welfare of Pangasinenses.
The mobile trailer mounted water treatment plant is equipped with a pump station with 15 meter-hose, pre-chlorination, chemical dosing/pH adjustment, sedimentation, media filtration, activated carbon filter, reverse osmosis, chlorination, inflatable water tank with capacity of 10,000 liters (in a food grade category), 2 SMF battery, set of tools (including provisions of testing instruments such as chlorine measuring kit, pH-meter conductmeter).
Its technical specifications include: containerized system, reverse osmosis, transport platform designed for towing with retractable stands for self standing at times of operations, powered by a 15 KVA generator set.–LM
