EVEN a motorcycle crash helmet is now an item of interest for robbers.

The Dagupan police arrested two thieves inside the campus of the University of Pangasinan along Arellano Street on August 22 at around 12:25 p.m.

Superintendent Romeo Caramat Jr., chief of Police, Dagupan City, identified the suspects as one Junior Montemayor, 27, of Callejon St. and Lawrence Rodriguez Villanueva, 23, of Guilig St., both tricycle drivers.

The two were caught in the act of stealing two pieces of Index Helmet and were arrested by elements of the Dagupan City Police Station, together with the Barangay Pantal Council and duty security guards.

The owner of the helmet, Herreyson Magno, 17, student of the university from San Carlos City, identified the black Index helmet, which he left on his motorcycle while attending class, as his.
