Judith Reyes inducted PICPA Pangasinan prexy
Gertrudes Gertrudes Cerezo-Reyes, municipal accountant of Binmaley was recently inducted PICPA Pangasinan president at the 55th Induction Ceremony held June 30 at Star Plaza, Dagupan City.
She exhorted the newly-inducted officers and members to preserve the honor, integrity and the glory of PICPA Pangasinan and encouraged them to “strengthen our bonds of fellowship, enhance our profession and serve our community.”
Board Member Dionisio “Saffe” A. Villar, guest of honor and speaker, cited the importance of the role of the accounting profession in business and government and pledged his support to the chapter in implementing its community outreach projects.

The other new officers: Jose Ferrer, executive vice president/president -elect; Noel Maniacop, VP for internal affairs; Ofelia Celi, VP for professional development; Rita Garcia, VP for external affairs; Michelle dela Cruz, secretary; Genelou Bagayao, asst. secretary; Sheryl Escano, treasurer; Julie Racho, PRO; and Remedios Sapiera, auditor, Conrado Zarate, business manager, and Leonardo Bagayao, sgt. at arms.
The officers were inducted into office by Andres Cabuyadao, PICPA Northern Luzon regional director.The board of directors are Jose Ferrer and Noel Maniacop (Commerce & Industry), Ofelia Celi and Bernardo Tamondong (Goverment), Elma Lorenzo and Lelani Garcia (PublicPractice), Debbie Castillo and Tita Garcia (Education). Past President Antonio Patungan, manager of East-West Bank is an ex-officio member.
A special feature of the program was the presentation of the legacy award honoring the late Atty. Luis F. Samson Jr., pioneer president of PICPA Pangasinan and founder of the University of Luzon.
Lifetime achievement awards were also given to past presidents Atty. Armando Montesa and Florencio Gabrillo.
