SB seeks extension of Calasiao COP
CALASIAO – For his good performance as chief of police, Supt. Policarpio Cayabyab is being sought by the Sangguniang Bayan to stay here longer.
A resolution authored by Councilor Isidro Macalanda called on Police Provincial Director Sr. Supt. Alan Purisima to extend Cayabyab’s tour of duty in Calasiao, beyond the two-year regulamentary period.
The resolution was passed as Cayabyab is now about to complete his two-year tour of duty as chief of police of the town
Majority of the members of the SB supported the resolution after evaluating Cayabyab’s performance, particularly his campaign against illegal gambling, illegal drugs, prostitution and other lawless acts.
Macalanda described Cayabyab as a police chief with a heart, one who performed honesty and with independent mind and dedication.
He credited Cayabyab with the smooth flow of traffic, the prevailing peace and order situation, among others.
The SB expressed hope that Police Provincial Director Purisima will grant their request because Calasiao needs a chief of police who is as good as Cayabyab. – APE
