Miss Magic shares victory with elders
The Miss Magic Beauty Pageant, earning for itself a new tag as “the heart of charity”, capped its series of 2006 activities with a Charity Day for the members of San Fabian Senior Citizens’ Federation at the San Fabian Sports Center recently.
The town’s senior citizens were selected by Miss Magic 2006, San Fabian lass Nouvel Ann Sheener C. Dalton, her chosen beneficiaries of the prize she won intended for work.
Sheener, 20, a part time print and commercial Model, outshone 19 ladies from 14 participating towns and 3 cities in Pangasinan.
Sheneer, who was crowned Miss Magic 2006 in a lavish show last May 13 in Urdaneta City, said that the elders in her hometown, especially the needy and abandoned, need more attention and care. A total of 130 indigent elders from her hometown were treated to a day full of games, prizes, food and gifts.
Now known as the “grandest beauty pageant in Pangasinan”, the beauty pageant is the only show in the province that provides for a charity undertaking funded b y the MGC to be led by its winners.
Now on its 6th year, the Miss Magic Beauty pageant continues to give young ladies in Pangasinan the opportunities to pursue their dreams. At the last search, more than a hundred ladies joined the auditions before the qualification process decided on 20 candidates who took part in the 2-month rigorous but fun-filled season that culminated in an oriental inspired show at the jampacked Urdaneta City Sports and Cultural Center.
