PVB Sual branch opens
SUAL – The Philippine Veterans Bank branch in Sual opened last Friday in a ceremony attended by PVB President and Chief Executive Officer Ricardo Balbido Jr. and Sual Mayor John Rodney Arcinue.
Balbido said the branch is the bank’s 45th and only the third in Pangasinan. The first branches are in Dagupan and Lingayen.
The PVB branch will cater to the veterans from the 10 towns of the first district of Pangasinan, including some towns in the second district.
According to Balbido, with the PVB branch in Sual, the overcrowding of the PVB branches in Dagupan and Lingayen will now be minimized.
In his speech during the opening ceremony, Balbido pointed out that PVB is a private commercial bank owned by some 120,000 Filipino veterans.
Rehabilitated in 1992, the PVB charter says that the bank is owned by the veterans World War II who elect 11 members of the board of directors yearly.
The inauguration was attended by Provincial Treasurer Ramon Crisostomo who pledged an initial deposit of P7 million to the PVB branch which, he said, is known for its excellent customer service.
Mayor Arcinue welcomed PVB, being the first commercial branch to be established in Sual.
Others who graced the occasion were Area head Paul Tuazon, PVB Vice President Evener Monzones and Alaminos City Mayor Hernani Braganza.
