ROSALES–President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo visited the Our Lady of Rosales shrine in Barangay Station here on rainy Thursday last week to attend a special mass with some 200 government officials and friends.

Among those who joined the President were Gov. Amado Espino Jr.; Reps. Rachel Arenas and Conrado Estrella III of the 3rd and 6th districts, respectively; Sto. Tomas Mayor Vivien Villar; Rosales Mayor Ricardo Revita; Presidential Management Staff Sec. Hermogenes Esperon Jr., a Pangasinense from Asingan.

The 30-minute mass was officiated by Msgr. Jun Mercado of San Fernando, Pampanga.

After the mass, the President and some officials had a closed-door dialogue for about 25 minutes.

Arroyo last visited the place, considered miraculous by local folks, before the May 2007 elections with the administration’s senatorial candidates. #
