Duque elected Lions District VG

LITA S. Duque, president of the Dagupan City Host Lions Club for the last five years, was recently elected vice district governor of District 301C representing Northern Philippines.

She was elected during the 57th Multiple District Lions Clubs National Convention held last April 18-21 in Legaspi City.

Among the projects that earned merit for Duque’s exemplary leadership include the Sight First Free Cataract Operation, distribution of Braille books for the blind and impaired patients of the Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center, the feeding project for street children and malnourished children, distribution of relief goods for flood victims, college scholarship program, among others.

“I will focus on the District 301C clubs and membership growth and development being the chairperson of our District MERL (Membership, Extension, Retention & Leadership) team,” she said.

She also plans to bring all Philippine Lion delegates to Dagupan City and explore the beauty and experience of the “best” by bidding as site of the 2008 National Convention.

“By being a Lion vice district governor, I can further extend more assistance to the needy and I pray that everyone will take part,” she stressed.
