SUAL–TeaM Energy Foundation, Inc. (TEFI) spent P2.8 million to help in the rehabilitation and construction of classrooms in schools here damaged by Typhoon Emong last May.

One new classroom was built at the Cabalitian Elementary School and rehabilitation work was done for classrooms in Pangascasan Integrated School and Baybay Sur Elementary School.

TEFI, an arm of TeaM Energy that owns and operates the 1,200 MW Sual Power Station, undertook the project in partnership with the Sual town government, the Department of Education-Sual District, and   the Federation of Sual Multipurpose Cooperatives.

TeaM Energy Vice President for Operations and Sual Power Station Manager Engr. Ruben H. Licerio were in town recently for the official turn-over and unveiling of a marker for the project.

Typhoon Emong heavily devastated areas in the first district of Pangasinan, including this town.

TeaM Energy stands for Tokyo Electric and Marubeni, one of  the largest private producers of electricity in the Philippines with more  than 2,000 megawatts (MW) of installed generating capacity.#
