Calasiao Children’s Chorus gets P1M assistance

LINGAYEN—The Pangasinan Provincial Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PPEMCO) and the Provincial Government of Pangasinan led by Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr., handed over on Wednesday P1 million as cash assistance to the Calasiao Children’s Chorus for its bid to win a prestigious international competition.

The local children choir will represent the country in the Korean Open Competition and First World Choir Championship International – children category – to be held in South Korea from July 7 to 17 next month.

The cash donation came from the proceeds of the recently-concluded “Bingo Caravan sa Pangasinan” conducted by the cooperative of the provincial government.

The young choral group, founded in 2005, is composed of youngsters’ ages ranging from 7 to 16, residing in the town of Calasiao. PIO
