Drug den owner busted

A DRUG dealer based in Ilocos Norte and operating in nearby provinces, including Pangasinan has been caught by joint police forces on June 6 in a buy-bust operation at his home, which was serving as an illegal drug den.

Charlie Cainglit, along with his son Anacleto Cainglit, were nabbed by combined forces of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1 (PDEA RO1) Ilocos Norte Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (INPAIDSOTG) and Currimao Municipal Police Station to storm into the house in Barangay Santa Cruz Sur 7B, Badoc Ilocos Norte, after they sold shabu to an undercover anti-narcotics agent.

Confiscated from the suspects were several plastic sachets of shabu, street valued at around P60, 000 and weighing more or less six grams.

Four suspects were also arrest after they were caught red handed while in the middle of sniffing shabu.

Drug paraphernalia consisting of used foils, distorted lighters and tooters were also scattered around the house.

The elder Cainglit is not only in PDEA and PNP’s target list but is also a member of the notorious Apostol Drug group, which operates in Badoc and neighboring provinces.

All suspects are currently under the custody of the INPAIDSOTG and are charged with violations of Sections5, 6, 7, 11, and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
