American citizen murdered by 14, 18-year olds
INFANTA–An American citizen was hacked to death outside his home in Barangay Maya here at 6:45 a.m. on June 5.
The fatality was identified as Crisostomo Marmelo, 82, who sustained multiple hack wounds in the head and different parts of his body and died on the spot.
The suspects are a 14-year old boy identified as Jose Mamerlo of Barangay Maya and one Ariel Villanueva, 18, of Barangay Guinabon, Sta. Cruz, Zambales, who escaped from the crime scene but were arrested in a hot pursuit operation conducted by elements of the Infanta police.
Old grudge was tagged as the motive of the slaying.
