Grandma arrested for marijuana pushing
A 71-year old grandmother was arrested by the police in the afternoon of May 21 in Sitio Aling on Arellano Street, Dagupan City after she sold dried marijuana placed in sachets to a policeman disguised as buyer.
The suspect was identified as Aracile Mejia, also known as “Mother”, who sold 10 pieces of marijuana sachets to SPO1 Demetrio Vinluan in a buy-bust operation.
Other items seized from Mejia were the marked money used and one-fourth brick of dried marijuana leaves
The suspect was temporarily lodged in the police jail while the items seized from her were submitted to the PNP Crime Laboratory in Urdaneta City.
