Duque assumes PRISAA national presidency
R1 PREPARES FOR 2013 GAMES
DR. Gonzalo T. Duque, president of Lyceum-Northwestern University and head of the PRISAA (Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Region I, has assumed the presidency and vice-chairmanship of the PRISAA National Board of Trustees.
The positions were turned over to Duque by his predecessor, Fr. Vicente Yu, during a ceremony held at the closing program of the 2012 PRISAA National Collegiate Games on April 27 in Cebu City.
The turnover also heralds the hosting by PRISAA Region I of the 2013 PRISAA National Collegiate Games scheduled on February 10-16 in Pangasinan and Dagupan City.
Plans and preparations are now being undertaken by the PRISAA Region I team.
Meanwhile, Duque was also awarded by the PRISAA National Board of Trustees during the association’s national assembly last April 22 at the Summit Circle Hotel, Cebu City for his “unwavering commitment and support to PRISAA” since its revival in July 1990.—Philamer C. Celi
