Driver wounded in shooting
VILLASIS—A driver was wounded after he was shot in the chest by an unidentified gunman while walking along Patricio Street in Poblacion Zone 5 here at about 4:00 a.m. of May 8 as he was bound for work.
The wounded Novelito Contabay was able to walk back to his house to seek help. He was immediately rushed to the Ordoñez Hospital in the town before being transferred to the Sacred Heart Hospital in Urdaneta City.
The victim told police investigators he was not able to recognize the person who shot him and does not know the motive behind the attempt on his life.
