A FUN run dubbed “Race Your Voices” will be held May 5 starting at the Robinson’s Place in Calasiao for the benefit of the Calasiao Children’s Chorus.

Proceeds from the event will help fund the group’s trip to Guangzhou, China in November for an international choir competition.

“There is financial assistance from the municipality of Calasiao, however, this event is still being organized to cover other needs of the Calasiao Children’s Chorus, especially for our training and preparation for the competition,” said Christopher Jay Maiquez , a 15-year-old member of the choir.

The fun run also coincides with the celebration of the Calasiao Town Fiesta 2012.

Registration for the event is on until April 28 at the Robinsons Place.

The race categories and respective registration fees are: Php150 for the 500m (kiddie run) and the 1km (walk, jog, run), both include a race bib but not a singlet; Php200 for 3km, Php250 for 5km, Php300 for 10km and 15km, all inclusive of a complete race kit with singlet, race bib, and race map.–Maria Leene Camo, U/PB
