Kagawad in hot water for guns, ammo
SAN NICOLAS–A barangay kagawad was put in jail following a raid in his house in Barangay San Felipe East here in the morning of March21.
Seized from the house of George Acosta was a Cal. 38 revolver without ammunition, one carbine rifle, three long and short magazines and 158 live ammunition for carbine rifle.
The raid by joint elements of the police was conducted on the strength of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Ulysses Raciles Butuyan of Branch 51 in Tayug.
A case for violation of Republic Act 8294 was already filed against Acosta.
