Lim sees city as major tourist destination
MAYOR Benjamin Lim has bared plans to push Dagupan as a major tourist and convention destination to propel the city’s economy and open employment opportunities.
Speaking at the KBP Forum on Thursday, Lim said the Dawel River Cruise is just a starting point for more attractions in the city.
Other activities envisioned to be introduced include kayaking, fishing and a zipline.
The cruise will also be packaged as a unique venue for weddings and wedding receptions.
Lim said the city government also hopes to make Dagupan a convention destination like the cities of Baguio, Cebu and Davao.
He added that Perez Boulevard will be extended should mall giant SM pushes through with its intent to open shop in Dagupan. (PIA Pangasinan)
