THE Metropolitan Bank &Trust Company distributed “bags of blessings” to 500 indigent families in Dagupan on January 28 as part of the company’s food pack distribution program.

Now on its second year, the project aims to share 10,000 packs with underprivileged Filipino families nationwide.

The program is also in line with this year’s Chinese New Year celebration and the government’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the government.

The distribution was undertaken jointly with the Department of Social and Welfare (DSWD) and Development and the city government.

The recipients were selected based on the DSWD’s National Household Targeting System.

Each “bag of blessing” contains a liter of cooking oil, a can of condensed milk, canned goods, noodles, a kilo of sugar, pack of coffee, snacks and 10 kilos of rice. (CIO)
