SAN CARLOS CITY—The most popular icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pangasinan, the Lady of Manaoag, arrived in San Carlos City on October 1 for a month-long visit in celebration of the Rosary Month.

The statue will be stationed around the different barangays on a rotation basis to make it more accessible to the various communities.

Father Ray Romero, a Carleñan on posting at the Manaoag church, paved the way for this religious opportunity in coordination with the St. Dominic Parish in the city.

Vice Mayor Joseres Resuello led the welcoming ceremonies for the Lady of Manaoag and placed the crown upon the icon.

The Liga ng Barangay, headed by Col. Jose Pagsolingan, hailed the visit of the Lady of Manaoag saying it will bring spiritual blessing to the city’s largely Catholic population.#
