Three Dagupeños elected Jaycee national executives
OUTSTANDING Dagupan Jaycee leaders were elected to national positions during the 28th JCI Philippines Area 1 Conference.
Ryan Ravanzo, incumbent president of JCI Dagupan Inc, was elected as 2009 national executive vice president for Area I; Maximo Alexis Tan ran unopposed as 2009 national vice president for Northern Luzon; and Red Erfe-Mejia was voted president of the 28th JCI Philippines Area I Conference.
Ravanzo’s area of responsibility is composed of 28 local organizations in Northern Luzon, Ilocandia, Central Luzon, Greater Zambales and the Cagayan Valley regions. He is presently the city information officer of Dagupan.
A part of the JCI for 15 years as a multi-term officer and a national trainer certified by the JCI University, Ravanzo is the first officer of a local JCI organization elected to a national position in nearly seven years.
Tan, also a certified national trainer, is past president of JCI Dagupan Bangus,
Prior to his election, Tan served as chairman of the national training commission of the Philippine Jaycees and a sought-after JCI international trainer.
Erfe-Mejia, incumbent president of Dagupan Bangus Jaycees, annexed two major and four special recognitions during the UNO Awards, the Philippine Jaycees’ Area I electronic awards system for outstanding JCI individual and organization projects.
He was voted best chapter president (category 2), and his chapter was awarded the best community project and merit award for a UN Millennium Development Goal project.
The Dagupan Bangus Jaycees received three special awards, namely: No. 3 in JCIPEA, best LOM uniform and a posthumous award for past national senior executive vice president Manny Yao.
