Re: General Admission– zeroing on Pacquiao

He bit the dust!

It was 2:59 in the 6th round, when Pacquiao walked into Marquez’s devastating right hand, and came down with a thud, face-down in his corner, where a bunch of 20 Pinoy congressmen were sitting – freeloaders of Pacquiao’s gratuitous attitude.

It was good fight with each boxer throwing punches, but the power punch of Marquez, was evident when he knocked Pacquiao down in the third round.

He came through with that, and in the fifth round stunned Marquez putting him in the mat. This was the deciding moment for everybody to see, that Pacquioa has lost his punch, the KO blow his trademark was gone, like a star in its final death throes.

He could have won the match, because the score cards of the judges on this round was: Pacquioa 47 – Marquez 46. He forced the issue in this round throwing jabs to Marquez head, and dropped his guard. He missed with a big right, and when he got hit, he saw passing before his eyes, the twinkle of stars ending his fruitful career into oblivion – probably rethinking he should have quit when the going was good.

Greed … was what killed his career.

Here in Las Vegas, the odds will tell you how this fight was concluded before both pugilists entered the ring.

In every Sportsbooks: Pacquiao -250, while Marquez -210 … meaning the spread on Pacquiao was too low, not when he was in his shape, which ordinarily made him a -900 or -1000 favorite.

THE IRONY . . .

The saddest part of the sad, those 20 Pinoy … Tonggressmen … left Pacquiao without saying goodbye. Their chances of a Bacchanalian party at the MGM bar came to naught, a sorry spectacle of Pinoy sportsmanship.

He was taken to University Medical Center for observation, and the would-be victory rah-rah-rah and more rah, was cancelled.

THE PREMONITION . . .

Mitt Romney, the former Republican presidential candidate visited Pacquiao, a politician in his own right – in his dressing room before the fight … a loser to a would be loser. He said: “Hi Manny. Remember me? I ran for President and I lost.”

It doesn’t get any worst than that!
