Re: General Admission – Dr. Ruben Reyes, Jr.

Him coming back to practice medicine in Pangasinan, is like getting kicked in the stomach by an unruly Missouri mule.

PANGASINAN WHERE THE HEART IS . . .
While Pinoys in the medical field, are fighting, stepping on each other just to come to America … to have a taste of that milk and honey, a feel of the newly printed greenbacks – this Dr. Reyes did the unimaginable bordering on the insane.

Even doctors licensed in Pinoyland takes the easy way out of going back to school, to take a two-year course in Nursing, to facilitate their entry into the US of A.

He must be some … nutso … to even consider living in a place, where in all probability living day-to-day is a struggle; where compensation for medical services given, are expressed in half dozen eggs or some sick and muddy chicken picked from the filthy rushing waters of a typhoon.

FOOLITIZATION OF THE POSITION . . .
What’s stopping Pareng Spines on his appointment? If Dr. Reyes is board certified to practice medicine in America, a hold on his eligibility to have a … part time job … in a hospital below medical expectations – could be the ultimate slap in the face notwithstanding the fact; medical education in the US is more demanding and rigid than the Philippines.

FACTS OF LIFE . . .

1) Dr. Reyes graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.

2) Stint at Detroit Medical School in Detroit, Michigan. There’s no Detroit Medical School in Detroit.

3) What you have is the Detroit Medical Center – comprising 6 area hospitals where Harper Medical Center is the anchor.

I think you’re drunk, Al, when you are writing this piece. Give us a break, will ya?
