Help the schools

There are alot of things one can do to help your barangay. The future of the Philippines lies with its children. On your next trip to the Philippines vist one of the local barangay elementary schools. These schools are in need of many things. Don’t wait for some organization to help the school, take it upon yourself. It really doesn’t cost that much. A balikbayan box cost $80.00 to ship to the province. New Webster’s desk dictionaries can be bought for less than $3.00 if you look. I recently bought a large 2 volume dictionary set in excellent condition for less than $6.00. This set would retail for over $100.00 brand new. Pencils $1.00 for 30, used typewriters, manual or electric, for less than $10.00 each. There are many other things a person can do if he or she tries, and believe it or not, you don’t have to be a millionaire.
Think positive and you can find ways to help improve the lot of many who are not as fortunate as us.
