Abus, Davao bombing, Drug war

BUTUYAN

By Ulysses R. Butuyan

‘PREPARE FOR ABU REPRISALS.’ Not just from the Abus but even from the horrified and grieving families of the summarily executed suspects.

‘STATE OF LAWLESSNESS EYED EVEN BEFORE DAVAO BLAST.’ Buddy Panelo is more right then he seems to realize. State of lawlessness began as early as when the police became lawless themselves.

MINOR ECONOMIC IMPACT SEEN FROM DAVAO BOMBING. But of course. The plot was calculated and the crime site was a minor business hub.

DRUG WAR: 96 KILLED IN 3 DAYS. No police casualties, not even a so-called vigilante was scathed.

P2-M REWARD FOR BOMBER. It pays to be a bomber.

SO IT’S NOW STATE OF NATIONAL EMERGENCY IN EFFECT. What took us so long to notice it?

AS BODIES PILE UP, MANY FEAR TO TALK ABOUT DUTERTE’S WAR. Who wants to be next on top of the heap, anyway?

LACSON BILL TO GIVE POLICE SUBPOENA POWER. “Fail not under penalty of summary execution.”

BATO TO COPS: I WANT MORE HEROES. As “heroic” as the likes of Marcos?

BATO: “I’M THE RICHEST COP.” Who can dispute it?

NO POWDER BURNS FOUND ON COPS WHO TOOK ODICTAS TO HOSPITAL. Cops are not that stupid.

NO SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR NARCOPOLITICIANS. Extraordinary is not synonymous to special.

DUTERTE VOICES REGRETS FOR INSULT ON OBAMA. He should thank Obama for not bringing his own vigilantes along.

PANELO SAYS U.S. MISREAD HYPERBOLE. That sounds like hyper-bola. Who are we  to teach English to a Harvardian?

PROCLAMATION ALLOWS ARREST WITHOUT WARRANT. Everyone knows what the Rules of Court says about warrantless arrests. All we need to do is to comply.

TUGADE: METRO MANILA TRAFFIC JUST A ‘STATE OF MIND.’ Did he consult someone in Mandaluyong?

I WILL EAT ABUS ALIVE-DUTERTE. Maybe he will eat more if cooked.

SENATORS WANT MORE DRUG ARRESTS. Next time let’s elect them as policemen.

DRUG KILLINGS CONTINUE AMID INT’L SCRUTINY, DIPLOMATIC MESS. Putang ina! Bakit, sino ba sila?
