Drug war is like anti US war

AS we write this column, we beg for your indulgence especially the oldies who may find it hard to change, the colonially-minded and those infatuated with “Western movies.”

Be prepared for a tough, maybe painful but, if you are open minded, liberating talk.

Our topic will make you understand our decision to fully back the presidency of Pangulong Digong, not for any job or consideration, we don’t need it.

It which has something to do with our education, the development of our social consciousness and, you guess, our love of country.

We understand the 66% poll of Filipinos have for America, and – is it 33%  minus for China?

Even among close friends, the majority are madly in love or infatuated with the U.S. of A.  Factor in how many years have we been under American tutelage, outright and subtle propaganda – harshly defined as brainwashing, and political and economic control (pls read through the onerous Ph-US trade relations!)

Our nationalist forebears the likes of Recto, Tanada, Salonga, and others were in this mode that President Duterte has adopted to align our beloved country – victim of long years of American imperialism — with an Asian leader – China, a socialist country.

True, we Pinoys always consider America as the model of the best things in life, yes “without thinking” – a product of propaganda, forgetting that our true friends who would sympathize or would be our true allies and real equal are the socialist countries.

Kaya look at them, those which did not bite the American bait – they have prospered so much, unlike us who are consigned to an underdeveloped country!

Our neighbors whom we used to pity before as our subordinates have progressed because there’s no one that’s putting them down!

Sorry for our candid talk. But it’s about time.  We continue to idolize America even if she considers us as a pitiful vassal, always trying to poison our minds that we are sweethearts when we are in truth and in fact, enemies.

Please, wag muna kayong magalit… don’t you know that this so-called super power (U.S.) owes China an accumulated $3 Trillion! O, see?

Look at the record, the cold facts!

Haah!! Amerikanos are pogi, white skinned, tall with high nose and shapely .. and in the clash between good and evil, the American is always portrayed as the hero!!

Well, it’s about time to change our mindset, our paradigm. It’s extra painful to peel off our skin from the U.S. cover in light of the long years!

It’s just like drug addiction. It’s almost deathly to shake it off from our body and mind. Kasi sira na ang 1/2 of our brain.  It would take a miracle, God’s grace and grim determination to remove the drug substance.

But it can be removed, with sheer determination and lots of help, support from friendly parties and above all, God!

Ok, says a friend who agrees with us, the expletives, the brusque manner of Digong is turning people off!

Well, we say to that: let’s not interfere with his style. Just think hard about what he is espousing if it’s good for our country.

No president has even dared to do what Digong has done. Mahalin natin iyan.

He is leading us out of a debilitating addiction (colonial mentality) on to our true, independent and sovereign nation!  Yes, just like his conquest of drug addiction – from darkness to light

Welcome brother Chinese to Pinoy-land, and say “gua ay di.”

NOTES: We in Barangay Tapuac and Amado continue to receive brickbats because of the over-use or mis-use of that strip of road at the back of L.NU. as a garbage pit. What’s going on, Kapitan Jake Reyes Jr? Maawa ka sa mga ka-barangay mo: very unsightly and disease-carrier pa. We are calling the attention of the city health office on this!
