Duterte-Marcos team proposed

Gonz Duque

By Gonzalo T. Duque

WE were in Urdaneta City last Thursday during Bangus Kalutan in Dagupan.

Why were we there?

Your guess is as good as ours. Davao City Mayor Duterte was there on invitation of Mayor Bobom Perez, Vice Mayor Franco Del Prado and businessman Mente Arboleda.

They whipped up a sisterhood pact for the mutual advancement of their two cities.

O yes, Gen. Jun Esperon and the whole Urdaneta City officialdom were there.

Like we said, Rody Duterte is taking the countryside by storm.

Ayaw ng masa sa kriminalidad like the drugs-related crimes which dominate the nationwide crime score board. This is the strength of our friend Rody Duterte.

Mayor, nay, President Duterte wants the death penalty restored and should be applied, he said, with ruthless force on policemen who plant evidence against their known enemies. Even those who plant small evidence should be dealt with the death penalty, said Duterte.

We are all for that.

He begged off about his blunt language, adding he couldn’t conceal his hate against drug criminals because they destroy the nation. They destroy families, the neighborhood, the whole humankind, quoted Duterte.

Drugs is related to Satanism and must be fought by all peace and love-bound people with all our might and souls.

Did you know that Rody Duterte was received warmly by Guvnor Jun Ebdane in Zambales last week?

Ebdane, who was being persuaded to take a crack at the presidency, is giving way to Duterte.

Same with former President FVR who likes Duterte to be the next president. No, FVR is not saying it, but we could read his body language.

Duterte will fight the criminals without fear, kaya mahalin natin ito.

Certain quarters told us Senator Bongbong Marcos is also eyeing the presidency.

Well and good. According to Jun V, Congressman Jonathan dela Cruz has confirmed to him that Bongbong will also run for president.

If you ask us, ang type natin Duterte-Marcos tandem for equitable representation of power from the North and South.

Duterte will contain the pernicious problems in the south while Bongbong will rally the Ilocanos, the Solid North, geographically and ideologically, for national unity.

Ok ang tandem, ano po?

Happy birthday, partner Ashok Vasan-Duque on May 1.

This name coining has thrust us into a certain notoriety including Duterte fans in Davao calling us Gonzalo Duquerte when we were in Davao City recently

We’d like to caution Ashok from doing a loud whispering campaign that we are running for mayor of Dagupan City. Baka ma-offend si Mayora?

Marami ang istorya na pati si Cong. Gina de Venecia lalaban daw na mayor with Kuya Joe eyeing his old Congress post.

And then there is former Mayor Al Fernandez and Dr. Roland Mejia, yes, the Region I Medical Center director, are being rumored to gun for Dagupan Mayor.

May isa pa and this probably may be nearer the truth, our kumadre Celia Lim for mayor and Brian for vice mayor.

Kung ganyan kayo, ha, Ashok, talo na lahat kay Belen kasi siya ang nakaupo, reigning champion kung baga!

Good luck sa inyong lahat, mga mahilig sa pulitika! Hay pulitka!

First, we thank Senator Alan Peter Cayetano for helping us at the Dagupan Water District bring to the attention of DPWH Sec. Rogelio Singson our concerns due to that office’s failure to prevent a contractor from causing damage to DCWD’s pipes in Barangays Tambac and Tebeng in their bulldozing activities.

Bravo, Senator Peter Cayetano. He is an Action Man, pam-presidente talaga!

We heard District Engineer Boy Dion was offended by our columns on this water district concern. In fairness, our friend Boy, was doing his best coordinating with us, but a private contractor was obviously the culprit, but command responsibility points willy nilly to the DPWH.

Pasensya na po sa mga nasasagasahan. Ganyan lang ang buhay ng public servants at midya.

All for good governance!
