WHAT P10- M BLACK SAND EXPORT? Maybe. Or maybe not. I wonder what was the basis of the Ombudsman for claiming that magnetite sand valued at P10,750,000 was exported to China. Even the complainants themselves have attested that the black sand stockpile has remained untouched since year 2011. So how could an export be possible?

The articles I’ve thus far read and written on the issue may not suffice for me to make a judgment but I hope the Ombudsman can clarify and prove their claim. Uphold fairness and justice. – Johanne Macob

THE LADY IN BLACK STOCKINGS. Whenever this lady employee of the provincial government becomes visible in public affairs, her presence would surely be noticed. Why? It’s because of her appearance, not because she is stunningly beautiful but for breaking protocol.

For one, she does not wear the prescribed office uniform perhaps because she finds it “baduy” because she’d wear sexy clothes. She makes her co-workers’ eyes roll and cellphones buzz with text messages about her every move as soon as she enters a room. Her bling-blings make a sound while she moves from one corner to another but it is her eye catching black stockings that have become a favorite conversational piece among kibitzers. “Where’s the party, baby?” is what often I hear from the bench. But she doesn’t care, because it flatters her.

Then, while everybody else is barred from entering the Sangguniang Panlalawigan hall when session is going on, she loves to call people’s attention by constantly showing up and whispering something closely to her boss. (Whether it’s official or personal business, only the two know).

Love her or hate her, but this girl, who loves to post on FB her jewelry, shoes, wardrobe, hair and make-up, including her legs and cleavage, not to mention her trips abroad, is an asset to her politico boss. She definitely knows human relations, her EQ is high, but never mind her IQ. – Tita Roces

 

LIKE THE TSUNAMI HILL. If some people of Dagupan City did not have a chance to see the Tsunami Hill that the administration of then Mayor Benjamin Lim attempted to construct in Barangay Pugaro, they can see a look-alike of that aborted project in the shoreline of Barangay Malimpuec in Lingayen.

It is a huge mound of black sand forming like a hill, a proof that somebody lied to the Ombudsman that extracted sand exported to China and caused the government to a loss some P10 million. It could have been mistaken for Lim’s Tsunami Hill except for the grass and crawling plants that have grown there over the years. The black sand is intact and untouched. Who said this is missing? –
