Everyone happy!

BEBOT VILLAR

By Bebot Villar

DURING Lenten period, families rush to their hometowns in the provinces for the opportunity to hold their family reunions and join religious activities while others are just too happy to stay put and have their villages to themselves.

Siyempre, may mga mayayaman naman who go out-of-town or abroad for their annual foreign trips but for most, dito pa rin sila sa Pinas.

They take advantage of the holidays like this when many families leave their homes for vacation!

While our law enforcers also prepare for the muggers, robbers and thieves to strike everywhere, there are not enough of them to fully protect all of us.

That’s why it is important that we prepare and plan for the protection of our families and properties at anytime. We need to be alert, aware and vigilant about presence of criminals in our midst all the time. Sa bawat walang-pagpapahalaga natin, mayroon na mayroon na darating ang araw ng pagsisisi, and it’s always too late!

Hopefully, by the time you read this, you are already safe and secure in your own homes at walang anumang masamang experience ang nangyari sa inyong vacation. Kaya lang, don’t be misled into believing that it will always be like this.

I hope that you had a very meaningful Holy Week.  Suma-puso rin sana ng ating mga kababayang nasa maling gawain and espiritu ng Panginoon and they be enlightened to change lives for the better.  I wished for a miracle.  And I believe that miracle will happen, if not Easter, maybe in the coming days.

May the Easter brings us new hope that God is alive, never sleeps and always ready to help us if we just approach Him. Happy Easter!

Once again, we saw it happen… that whenever, Cong. Manny Pacquiao, fights for a boxing title, Filipinos stop whatever they are doing and watch him with bated breath, every second of the 12 rounds! Sabi nga ng mga ka-pulisan, even criminals stop their activities to watch our Pambansang Kamao in action, kung kaya walang laman ang police blotters.  How I wish araw-araw ay may laban si Pacman!

This was evident with the way all Filipinos cheered lustily for him. Lahat sama-sama sa pagdasal sa kanyang panalo.  We were united in prayer and in purpose.

This means, in spite of our constant differences in politics and religion, we still have the capacity to be one as a people if our national honor and pride as a people is at stake. Malaki pa rin talaga ang pag-asa na ang pagkakahati-hati ng iba nating mga kapatid na Pilipino ay magkaroon ng tuldok in God’s own time.
