Onsasawa laray totoo ed opisyales’ — Bok Crisologo

By Gonzalo Duque

WE were delighted by Dangerous Drugs Board chairman, Secretary Bebot Villar, for appointing us a consultant in his office.

Our appointment was made in the course of his speech at the Agew ng Pangasinan program last Tuesday in Lingayen, being its guest of honor and speaker. He recalled the friendship of our daddies — former Gov. Paco and for Vice Gov. Tonieng.

Maybe, it was just providential because we have been championing anti drug issues for years now. We’re just happy that our aborted regional drugs rehab center project in Burgos, Pangasinan has been supplanted by one constructed at Barangay Bonuan Binloc through the effort of former Speaker Joe de Venecia and his wife, now Congresswoman Gina Perez-de Venecia.

The drugs problem has reached a disturbing level that no less than President Pnoy has picked it up as his personal crusade. The drugs problem was dramatized by the execution of three Filipinos in China last week.

Salamat manong Bebot.

At this juncture, we thank Gina for approving our personal request that a community police precinct be put up in Barangay Tapuac to check criminality there.

It will rise beside or near the unfinished alumni house of the Dagupan City National High School graduates. Gina’s assurance was made during our dinner date with the couple, former Speaker Joe and her, last Sunday. It was a very cordial meeting. Gina is learning the ropes of a politician. Her edge is that she has poise, beauty and heart for the poor.

Kuya Joe is lucky to have a beautiful in physique and heart of a wife. O, baka, pwede ng ipatayo uli ni Mam Gina may press club building?

Next time na lang, baka sabihin ninyo na ginagatongan ko lang kayo he he. Ibiig so lorey, salamat na baleg ed sicayo, madam congressman.

We would like to announce that the former speaker who had been an outstanding journalist before he entered politics is now an honorary member and adviser of the PPC.

Tignan ninyo ang sense of fairness and sportsmanship natin? We, Kuya Joe and us, were bitterest congressional rivals twice, but we have remained friends. Sana kayo, Mayor Benjie and Vice Mayor Belen ay ganun din? Di tayo nagbibiro, or else, you both fall because of your uncompromising self-interest!

What’s the latest about the Pangasinan Press Club Media in Action forum?

Did you know that the camp of Belen Fernandez is turning out to be takot?

They, she and her councilor allies, refuse to face Mayor Benjie Lim’s boys, namely, Councilors Brian Lim and Red Erfe Mejia in a face off in Media in Action.

When we talked to Red Erfe, he quickly said, “anytime, any place, any subject sir.”

Aratan! Of course, you know, Brian, he is sharp, articulate and a worthy son of his father.

He loves to debate.

We’ve been calling our cumpadre Councilor Chito Samson but he would not answer or text back. Ganyan ba ang texas?

We had a short but meaningful chat with old friend, successful businessman Bok Crisologo, and in the course of our exchange his blood pressure shot up when the topic shifted to the ngasngasan na aray pulitiko ed Dagupan.

He said, “onsasawa laray totood Dagupan, ampano agda amta? Please tell them to their faces, Gonzalo, makadismaya la ra. Gaba gabay day man atake, akin ta a, kuartay baley tay sisweldoen da a. Why don’t the think of the people naman?

He made a bold prediction: “Come elections, these people will lose, Dagupenos will go for candidates who are not minding only their private, personal and business interests!”

Matindi yay panyak. For the information of our readers, Bok is one guy who doesn’t indulge in empty and meaningless verbal abuse. He is a deep thinking artist. It’s only now that he has opened up and very angry.

Paliis tini sirin ampan na Bokbok tayo!
