Six barangays’ kids receive school supplies
MANGALDAN – This year’s United Nations International Youth Day theme “Transforming Education” moved young leaders in Mangaldan to organize an outreach program that helps less fortunate schoolers in six barangays in the municipality.
Michael Ervin Lomibao, event chairperson and SK Federation president here said they have been selling mango graham overload shakes in Mangaldan National High School and Gueguesangen Integrated School, and also conducted a hydro-color fun run held on June 29 this year to raise enough funds for the program.
It was a meaningful success that they were able to provide 150 sets of school supplies to six barangays namely David, Guesang, Talogtog, Lanas, Alitaya, and Landas. The teaching staff, students and parents are thankful for the program initiated by the young people of Mangaldan. (Melody Valenton)
