Wanted drug pusher killed in in Sta. Maria
A high value drug personality target was killed in Sta. Maria town in an encounter with operatives from the Provincial Intelligence Branch of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office and Sta. Maria Police Station in Barangay Cauplasan.
P/Colonel Redrico Maranan, provincial director of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, said the suspect drew his cal. 45 pistol and fired at the operatives about to arrest him after selling shabu to an undercover policeman.
The suspect, Clark Nardo alias Sky, a resident of Barangay Alac in San Quintin town, was identified as PDEA high value drug personality target operating in Tayug and Sta. Maria.
The suspect sustained three gunshot wounds in the different parts of his body and was rushed to Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Two sachets of shabu, P1,000 marked money and a caliber 45 pistol was recovered from the suspect.
Maranan said the buy-bust operation was part of an intensified campaign to eliminate the spread of illegal drugs in the province and cited the community’s cooperation in combating the spread of illegal drugs.
