Lagro drug syndicate member arrested in Dagupan City
A HIGH-value target and a member of the Lagro drug syndicate was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation of the Dagupan City Police and PDEA in Bonuan Gueset near Catacdang Bridge in the said city.
P/Lt. Col. Abubakar Mangelen, Jr., Dagupan acting chief of police, said Diana Gabriel Lagro, 41 years old, was collared in the drug buy-bust operation conducted by the joint operatives of the Dagupan City Police Intelligence Operatives and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pangasinan.
The suspect was arrested after selling c two sachets of shabu and another shabu placed inside an iced plastic. The 30 grams of shabu had a street value of P230,000.
The authorities recovered the P1,000 bill and 29 pieces of P1,000 bill that served as boodle money.
Mangelen said Diana is the wife of a leader of the Lagro Drug syndicate and gun for hire group in Dagupan City who’s now in detention.
He said the arrest of Diana Lagro was a result of the two prior separate operations in Barangay Mayombo and Lucao.
Meanwhile Dagupan City Police and PDEA also arrested Lloyd Xavier Calvero, 44 and Jessa Ceralde, 20, both lovers, after they sold.2 grams of shabu weighing .2 gram inside their vehicle.
The authorities also recovered a sling bag from the suspect containing a small pouch containing shabu paraphernalia.
Earlier, drug suspects Nicanor Palisoc and Roel Montero were arrested in a buy-bust operation along the De Venecia Highway.
According to Mangelen, the arrests of four suspects were key to the arrest Diana Lagro.
A government employee in Manaoag was also caught pushing 1.5 grams of shabu with a street value of P10,000 in Barrera Street in Barangay Pantal, Dagupan City. (Nora Domingez)
