Fast ferry in Pangasinan, soon a reality

THE operation of fast ferry crafts along the shoreline of the Baywalk project in Lingayen and Binmaley area may soon be a reality.

According to Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil, the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) recently met with representatives of the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) and the Binmaley Municipal Development Council to discuss the construction of a fast ferry craft terminals along the Baywalk Project.

According to Bataoil,  with the fast ferry terminals to be built along the 15 kilometer Baywalk project, tourists will travel faster to the Hundred Islands in Alaminos City, Bolinao, Dagupan City, San Fabian, Agoo and Poro Point in San Fernando, La Union with scenic views of shorelines once the fast ferry craft terminal will be constructed.

Bataoil said fast ferry will help make Pangasinan a major tourist destination and boost the local economy and livelihood of fishermen. (Nora Dominguez)
