Drug pusher killed in buy-bust operation

CAMP A. SISON—an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Binmaley police midnight on July 9 in Binmaley turned violent that resulted when the suspect decided to shoot it out with the arresting police officers and was killed. 

P/Colonel Redrico Maranan, acting Police Provincial Director, said the suspect, Joseph Fernandez, also known as “Bads”, a resident of Burgos Street in Poblacion, Binmaley was declared dead on arrival at the Ramirez-Bautista Memorial Hospital in the town.

He sold one sachet containing shabu to an undercover policeman who paid two marked P1,000 bills.

After the exchange, Fernandez realized he sold to an undercover policeman and drew his firearm from his waist and shot the policeman who managed to duck for cover.

The police operatives quickly responded and shot Fernandez.

The SOCO team recovered from the suspect two P1,000 bills, three more heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu, P240 cash, one Cal..45 Colt pistol with one magazine loaded with five bullets, two fired cartridges, three glass tooters, five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu, one improvised scoop straw, one syringe, six used aluminum foils strips, two rolls of aluminum foils, two aluminum foil strips, six cigarette lighters, pair of scissors and two small bottles.
