LINGAYEN – World Bank (WB) executives met with the Alcala Onion Growers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AOGMPC) and the provincial government officials on June 6, 2019, held at the Alcala Training Center to assess the progress of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP).

Please know that the provincial government is always here to support our local farmers,” said 5th District Board Member Chinky Perez-Tababa in behalf or Governor Amado ‘Pogi’ I. Espino III.

“We are so excited to be here and learn more, and see how we can further improve the projects here in your province,” expressed World Bank Task Team Leader  Frauke Jungbluth.

AOGMPC deals with production and marketing of onions and is one of the 30 qualified groups in the province who received interventions under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) and the provincial government.

Provincial Agriculturist Dalisay Moya said  AOGMPC is one of 31 beneficiaries in the province,  to increase agricultural productivity.

Espino. (PIO/AV)
