URDANETA CITY – A rape suspect detained at the Urdaneta Police Station killed himself in the confines of this city’s lock-up cell shortly after his arrest.

The suspect, Dexter Capit, 33 years old, resident of Capas, Tarlac, was arrested for the crime of Statutory Rape and Acts of Lasciviousness, who was then lodged in the Urdaneta City PNP cell.

However, as authorities were preparing the documents of his arrest, he was found dead inside the prison cell – with a nylon rope around his neck.

Capit was eventually rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. (Chub Pasion)
