ALL set and ready, with no teacher-classroom backlog in Schools Division of Dagupan City when school opens on June 3.

Dr. Venus Estonilo, chief of Curriculum and Implementation Division of School Division Office of Dagupan City, told the KBP Forum on Thursday that data on tentative enrolment as of May 30 showed: for elementary, 19, 671; junior high school, 11, 136 and senior high school 2, 911.

These numbers are expected to increase up to June 3, and all students and teachers are assured there are enough classrooms to hold their classes, she said.

She added there is no expected congestion in classrooms in Dagupan schools so no class will be held under a tree, adding that there are enough teachers to attend to all classes.

Several teacher items have been given to their school division, she said.

In case of a lack of regular teachers to teach, there are teachers for Alternative Learning System who could pitch in, she said.

When schools open on June 3, regular classes will start immediately, she said. (PhilStar Wire Service)
