BSP: Fun run to promote clean note policy

LINGAYEN – The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)-Dagupan Branch will conduct a fun run on May 18 at the Capitol Baywalk in Lingayen town to raise greater awareness of the public on the Clean Note Policy and Coin Recirculation Program of the government.

Senior Research Specialist Gomer Gomez said the fun run activity, dubbed as “Takbo Para sa Malinis na Pera,” is open to all Pangasinenses aged 15 years old and above.

Gomez said the activity, which will commence with a zumba dance at 5:00 a.m., will be divided into two categories: three-kilometer and five-kilometer run.

He said the P350 registration fee or the three-kilometer run will include T-shirt, snacks and water while P450 fee will be required for the five-kilometer run.

“We encourage participants to pay registration fees with unfit notes and coins also called as maduming pera”, Gomez said.

There will be no on-site registration on the day of the activity.

BSP accepted registration fees at BSP-Dagupan Branch last May 2.

Gomez said winners of the three-kilometer category will receive medals, freebies and cash prizes amounting to P3, 000 for the 1st placer, P2, 000 for 2nd placer and P1, 500 for 3rd placer.

For five-kilometer category, winners will also receive medals, freebies and cash prizes amounting to P5, 000 for 1st placer, P4, 000 for 2nd placer and P3, 500 for 3rd placer.
