Gov. Espino opens Pistay Dayat 2019

GOVERNOR Amado I. Espino, III led the opening of Pistay Dayat 2019 as part of the 439th Agew na Pangasinan (Pangasinan Day) founding anniversary on April 5.

  Governor Espino was assisted by his wife, Madam Karina P. Espino and the provincial government department heads led by Provincial Administrator Nimrod Camba in the opening and awarding ceremony of the 12th Pangasinan Tourism and Trade Expo, which is among the featured events of the annual Pistay Dayat (Sea Festival).

The tourism and trade expo, which runs from April 5 to May 3, is located at the Capitol beachfront beside the Capitol Resort Hotel.

   Addressing the attendees of the trade and tourism expo opening day, Governor Espino urged beachgoers, shoppers, and other visitors to help maintain the cleanliness of the tourism and trade expo area.

   “We are doing this event annually. All I ask is for you to help us in keeping this area clean and orderly,” said Governor Espino, who thanked the participating exhibitors, and business establishment in the expo.

  Bringing a festive mood during the tourism and trade expo opening were the street dancers and drummers from the Pangasinan School of Arts and Trades.

   Blessing of the tourism and trade expo area was conducted prior to the opening program, which also featured the awarding rites for the winning exhibitors, to include the best One-Town, One-Product LGU booth, best provincial and national office booth, and the best small and medium enterprise booth categorized under food, furniture, and gift, total and handicrafts.

   Winners of the plants and garden – best landscape competition, and the best dressed booth competition were also recognized.

   Prior to the opening and awarding of the tourism and trade expo, a motorcade with the Limgas na Pangasinan 2019 candidates was conducted. Also joining in the motorcade were: Delta Com, Capitol Bro Riders, Team Idol, Riders Guardians, Lingayen Leash Club, and Lingayen Padyakers and Runners Club. /Mark Gerry Naval Oblanca
