Convention center to rise in Bugallon

LINGAYEN—The Pangasinan Convention and Multi-Purpose Center (PCMPC), a priority infrastructure project of the provincial government, will soon rise in Bugallon town.

Gov. Amado Espino III led the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the center last week in a sprawling 18-hectare lot located in Barangay Umanday.

The PCMPC will have, a seating capacity of 8,237, and a full-house capacity of 10,010.

The provincial government has allocated Php300 million to jumpstart the Phase 1 – Design and Build Scheme of the PCMPC project.

Included in the future development of the 18-hectare lot is the construction of proposed four-storey hotel, restaurant building, children’s Olympic-size swimming pool, adults Olympic-size pool, activity area, and a wide parking lot.

With Gov. Espino during the ground-breaking ceremony were Provincial Administrator Nimrod Camba, and Bugallon Municipal Administrator Amado Aquino.

Provincial Engineer Antonietta Delos Santos said the construction works will start soon as Gov. Espino approves the design and build scheme of the PCMPC. (PIO/MGNO)
