4 more fall in drug buy-busts
FOUR suspected pushers who were placed under surveillance were finally arrested last week.
In Binmaley, a bus inspector was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the police in Barangay Caloocan Sur here in the afternoon of April 7.
Arrested was Jefferon Ramos, an inspector of a bus company plying Dagupan City-Cubao route.
Tagged as a former drug surrenderer, Ramos, who was allegedly operating in Binmaley and nearby municipalities, was caught in the act of transacting illegal drugs with a police poseur-buyer.
Recovered from Ramos was one transparent sachet of shabu, one aluminum foil strips one P500 bill used as marked money and one cellular phone.
In Mangatarem, arrested in the afternoon of April 11 in Barangay Quetegan, by the Drug Enforcement Team of the Mangatarem Police was Zyza Vinluan y Fernandez.
Fernandez, 33, a resident of Brgy. Bogtong Silag, Mangatarem; is in the watch list as pusher. Another suspect, Arturo Rillon, a newly identified pusher of Barangay Olo Cacamposan. was arrested.
In Calasiao, arrested in Barangay San Miguel on the same day was Christopher Zapata, alias Kambal, 35, of Barangay Talibaew, is also a bus conductor.
All the suspects were now charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 Article. II of Republic Act No. 9165. (Leonardo Micua)
