THE Social Security System (SSS) issued an advisory to members that last Monday that while the contributions rate increase under Republic Act 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2019 took effect on 5 March 2019, it would not be implemented until the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) for the proper implementation of the law, especially on its new features are approved and published.

The IRR is expected to be released on  3 June 2019.
