Lingayen,
Pangasinan — Governor Amado I. Espino,
III recently led the distribution of 2,700 bags of fertilizers to farmers and
irrigators from 58 farmers’ organizations in districts III and IV.
The mass distribution of fertilizers forms part of the rehabilitation
assistance of the provincial government to the farmers and irrigators for them
to recover from their product loss due to the devastation of typhoon “Ompong”
and habagat last year.
Addressing the beneficiary groups during the distribution of fertilizers held
on March 6 at the Provincial Agriculture Center in Tebag, Sta. Barbara,
Governor Espino noted the contribution of farmers and irrigators to the food
security of the province.
A farmer himself, the governor told the farmers and fisherfolks to be resilient
when mishaps happen in their agricultural or fishery venture, further urging
them to take good care of their health conditions
“Ang magandang samahan ng mga opisyales ng provincial government, kasama ang
mga bokal ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan ang dahilan ng lahat ng mga magagandang
programa na ating inilunsad at patuloy na pinapalawig,” Governor Espino said.
Joining the Governor in distributing the bags of fertilizers were: Vice
Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr., Board Members Jeremy Agerico Rosario,

distribution of fertilizers in districts I, and VI are also scheduled this
March to be held at the Provincial Agriculture field stations in Alaminos City,
and San Quintin, respectively.

distribution of farm inputs (which included bags of fertilizers for farmers,
and bags feeds for fisherfolks), along with the awarding of project
interventions, under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), to
farmers and fisherfolks from the second district of the province.
Farmers and irrigators from district V also received bags of fertilizers during

by Governor Espino, 5th district Congressman Amado Espino, Jr. and local
officials of the said town.
