LINGAYEN – Governor Amado Espino III called on barangay health workers (BHWs) to support the newly-launched Kalinisan Karaban, a solid waste management project of the provincial government to reinforce campaign for waste segregation and recycling in communities.

The governor explained the benefits of the Kalinisan Karaban or the “Plastic for Goods” by swapping plastic wastes with various products inside the mobile “shopping truck” of the provincial government.

The provincial chief executive said that more than the rewards, the program will soon make Pangasinan “plastic-free.”

“Isipin niyo ang ganda ng isang barangay o bayan, at higit sa lahat ng buong probinsya, na walang nakikitang basura,” Espino stressed. (PIO/SMDG)
